XP Home. A folder with only one picture in it was sent to the Recycle Bin.
Now it refuses to be deleted for good, doesn't open, doesn't show the
picture inside, and doesn't even show the same picture I put in another
time. I moved that folder out of the Recycle Bin. Every time I try to delete
it I get the message that the picture (JPG) cannot be found and cannot be
deleted. Any idea how I can get rid of this folder?

Thanks for the input. Installed the app you suggested but the devil is still
there. Tough nut to crack! Will not even erase or open in QuickView! I
guess
I can leave it dormant and not worry about it anymore. Thanks again.

It could be a disk fault. Try running chkdsk.

Boot into Recovery Console mode (from the install CD or by installing the
Recovery Console and selecting it from the boot menu). Then delete the
Recycler directory on the drive(s):

dir /ad recycler
attrib -h -s recycler
rd /s recycler

I don't remember if Recovery Console prevents you from having permission to
delete this directory.
