b4 I totaly lose my mind....I was trying to customize my
desktop and must have pushed a wrong button somewhere .
Now when I click on any icon okr try to enter any
programme from the start menu, all I can see is a black
square with the coloured icons down the side or across
the top. I can 't change any settings becos I don't see
any of the words. Super frustrating what do I do?

Darlene,

Right click a blank area of the Desktop, select Properties, Settings, Advanced and go to the Troubleshoot tab. Move the slider for Hardware acceleration down a notch or two.

Thanks for the suggestion but nothing that I am supposed
to see from windows appears with a white background. When
I right click on the desktop, the correct box appears
but it is all black so I can 't see any words to proceed
any further. I know that the word" properties" is at the
bootom of the list but even if I clicked there to get
into the properties box I am right back to another black
square!
