Hi,

A friend of mine has a cursor that has turned into a flashing black
box, rather than the standard flashing 'I'.

I've tried reseting the Mouse Pointers to default but the cursor
remains the same. All the other Pointers are ok. Any ideas?

Have the friend try pressing the Insert key, Ctrl/Insert, or other
combinations. I believe that cursor/pointer is an indicator that the
Insert mode is on, or off. If the friend types, is the text
overwritten, rather than inserted?
