Black and white photo printing

I've produced a short article about HP's new No.59 grey scale ink cartridge.
I was briefed on this new cartridge and the new Photosmart printers it will
work with by HP last month.

Anyone who has tried to get an ink jet printer to produce mono prints
anywhere near the quality of traditional wet-process dark room prints will
know how difficult it is. I really think HP has achieved just that and
without the need for wasteful experimentation or complicated profiling.

If you're interested in black and white printing, you may find the article
interesting. By the way, I'm in now way affiliated with HP at all - I simply
think it's a breakthrough that is pretty exciting if you're interested in
black and white photos. There is also a page on HP's view in print

Thanks Ian as an older film B&W photographer (Ilford IlfoBrom paper) the
HP59 is impressive
Unfortunately one has to by the new Photo RET PRO printer Oh well thats
progress ;-)

Maybe maybe not It will fit the curent 5550 to 7150 printers lets wait and
see
