BJC 6100 fault

Hi all , i have a problem with a BJC 6100 , when printing a B&W picture in
portrait mode everything seems ok but when printing in landscape mode the
picture has a 'stripey' appearance (about 2/3mm wide stripes).
I have not tried this printer with a colour picture but i recall having the
same problem with a BJC 210 when printing i colour , any ideas what the
problem is ?.
