I'm trying to set up 3 computer stations for a church youth group to use to
learn word processing. We have some old clunky pcs, monitors, and printers.
I got two stations set up and printing right.
The 3rd one is problematical.
It has a Compaq Presario pc, runs Win 98, and is hooked to a Canon BJC 4000
printer.
The printer is printing out Wordpad and Notepad docs, but the print size is
coming out as 8, no matter the print size/font of the docs.
When I run a test print, it prints maybe 8 lines and then dwindles off. The
eight lines it does print are fine. There are several different fonts and
print sizes before it dwindles off.
I went into the printer properties and changed the timeout from 15 to 60
seconds. All this did was spread the incomplete test page out over six
successive pages---only a few lines per page.
My next step is to take the BJC 4000 drivers (I just downloaded from
Canon--onto a CD) and go over and install those and see if that does it.
Any other thoughts will be appreciated.
