Note of caution: I think this also installs a DRIVER in windows to monitor
the networks..

Yet other programs can monitor network connections without installing a
driver....

Okay, I can understand that sentiment, however sometimes it's better to
have a dedicated driver for network based operations; that is why I added
my informtion to yours

Have a good (cool) day

adding a driver of such sort makes the network data more accurate...

although I have seen that if you build your own meters
with Samurize its accurate.. but of course buiding meters
is not for everyone...

Just thought I would chip in here - I am the author of BitMeter and can
assure you that it does not install any drivers, it gathers information
about network traffic using the Windows API only.

Hello... I took a better look at this app... indeed I did have
a prior version of this in my collection.....

After looking at it again.. I have to say that it is a very good
application...
I have used similar ones.. but this has something I have not seen in the
other ones.. the ability to monitor from a remote computer using web
browser....

the only strange thing was that it needed 31 mb of ram ....
why so much? Because of the .net framework?

nevertheless.. congratulations.. you have don a superb work, and it shows
that you are generous to give this as freeware....

Suggestions? A no-install verison (zip) and perhaps skin support? And
ultimatly a version that would work integrated in the taskbar like
I have designed with samurize here?

www.computerboom.com/samurize

Just thowing some ideas at you... that last one would make your app
unique!

-Ken
