If you are looking for a classic looking cheap case with relatively good build quality, check out this review from Real World Labs:

Quote:
"With so many successful PC Cases already the only question that remains is whether or not the people over at BitFenix have yet another winner in their hands with the Merc Alpha and the answer is yes, for the most part that is. The Merc Alpha is a cost-effective midi tower PC Case with good build quality and enough features to make some people wonder as to why there are several midi towers out there that offer less and cost more."

I bought one of these recently and that reveiew is pretty much on the money, as they say.

It does the job, looks ok (imo), and there's plenty of room. It's also a good centimetre narrower than a lot of cases which was a consideration of choice for myself.

But don't expect it to be robust, cos it isn't. It's made from thin mild steel and would crumple easily if you fell on it. So if you buy one try not to fall on it.

It costs around £33 from OCUK (about the only UK supplier I could find) plus, if you buy it from OCUK, around £9 postage.

Worth the money but if you can stretch to a few more pennies and are not on a budget build, I'd go for something a little more substantial.

Brilliant!

Around £40 isn't bad though, so like you say it's a good option for budget buyers.
