Just like any other OS there is a learning curve even with Ubuntu. The best
thing to do is look what the people close to you use (Family,Friends,Local
groups etc

and make a choice. There is no better support then the person
who can actually come and sit at your desk. All current Operating Systems
can do just about anything the others can for the typical user (unless you
are using some propietary software or hardware). We can debate all day long
what does what better, but it's pointless and quite honestly childish, for
every stat one can give for a Positive another can give a Negative.
