I used to have a file of a free program that would
tell you everything about the day and year of
your birthday. Sort of like a headline kind of
thing. Does anyone know of similar freeware?

I would suggest Calendar Magic ("this is your life" button) for this and
just about everything else that ails you.

Further to that, I guess you might have meant like newspapers for a date of
birth.

I doubt if a prog could store all the information; google gave some
answers, but electronic archives are a bit recent for historical events
like 1066 and all that.

A bit of searching encyclopedias etc came up with some answers, but not a
single comprehensive one.
