Well as its coming up to release day soon, pending any delays, I thought it may be a good idea to have a thread for anything Bioshock related.

Operating Systems:
Windows XP (with Service Pack 2) or
Windows Vista

Minimum System Requirements:
CPU: Pentium 4 2.4GHz Single Core processor
System RAM: 1GB
Video Card: Direct X 9.0c compliant video card with 128MB RAM (NVIDIA 6600 or better/ATI X1300 or better, excluding ATI X1550).
Sound Card: 100% direct X 9.0c compatible sound card
Hard disc space: 8GB free space


Recommended System Requirements:
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo processor
System RAM: 2GB
Video card: DX9: Direct X 9.0c compliant video card with 512MB RAM (NVIDIA GeForce 7900 GT or better)
DX10: NVIDIA GeForce 8600 or better

Release Date

BioShock's street date is August 21st of 2007. European Street date is August 24th

I'm actually not too sure about this one.

It looks a little too Retro/post WWII dont understand why it aint appealing to me TBH

Stalker did at first then I played it and got shut after about 2 weeks.

Think i'm gonna stay on the fence until I hear a little more about it after the release date

I was like that but the more i read the more i quite like the idea of it. Big plus for it also is that its fully optmised for the pc and not a damn console port so should run really well!
Will be worth a play i reckon.

Im looking forward to this game cause it looks fantastic... and better than Crysis im me opinion
i love the settings as well sorts of 50s era, and underwater

Better than Crysis?? Hmmm, I see it as more of a stop gap!

Sounds like I'm going to have to invest in a new GC pretty soon

Jesus its not like my 7900GT is slow!


I swear games used to scale much better. That last engine that actualy bothered scaling for low end PCs was Source, and that is 4 years old now!



Still it'll be worth it. Crysis and Bioshock look awesome
