I recently purchased and installed the MS Bluetooth
Wireless Keyboard and Optical Mouse. Installation and
drivers worked fine, and hardware works fine if I keep an
old keyboard plugged in during boot.

How do I disable the BIOS prompt that a "keyboard is not
connected". Instructions say I can disable this prompt at
the BIOS screen, and then should be able to boot fine with
wireless keyboard? Thanks for the help!!!!

You need to go into the BIOS at startup, before XP ever loads and change the
setting in it to support the USB keyboard at startup. Remove setting for PS2
keyboard.

Unfortuantely, you'll need to hookup another keyboard. As no Bluetooth
drivers have loaded up at that point, the computer won't recognize what you
are trying to do on the keyboard.

You'll have to find out how to enter the BIOS on your particular
motherboard. It's a keypress at startup but exactly which keypress varies.

Often it's the DEL key, but I've also seen F1, F2, F10 etc etc.

You won't be able to access the bios with your BT keyboard (as BT drivers
haven't loaded that early in the bootup process)

You'll need to hook up a usb or PS/2 keyboard to the computer and go into
the bios.
Then you'll need to tell the computer to ignore keyboard errors

Save the settings and you should be set.
