upon boot compaq presario v2000 laptop will not display the usual:
Press F1 to resume and F10 to Enter SETUP , but skips to compaq logo..
and also keyboard does not react to those keys although reacts-stops
when you hit break key.
Is this a symptom of bad cmos battery or cmos needs to be cleared or
perhaps BIOS flashed?

Unless its freezing its probably in "quick boot" mode.
You can set it to "full POST upon startup" if you prefer.
