Upu did not say for which motherboard.

It it is AN8X-Deluxe, DO NOT install BIOS 1009.
I ruined a motherboard with it.
They withdrew 1009 within a few days.
Got a new BIOS, updated
to later versions - which were OK.

Interesting...

I have 2 P4P800SE machines, both on 1009 and so far no problems at
all. I do see it's no longer on the site however.

I just got mine back form ASUS on an RMA and the 1009 bios is what they
had installed. I hope there is no problem with it as it took about 5
weeks to get my board to them, fixed and back.

I have been running 1009 for a few weeks now, no issues, both systems
overclocked. XP Pro SP2 all patches. What was wrong with your board?
My 2 have been flawless so far. Before these I have had a P4PE and a
CUV4X, also flawless. Both of these older boards are in my vault of
old and no longer used PC hardware along with more stuff than I care
to admit. :-)

It just quit one morning and wouldn't even post - absolutely nothing. It
was 13 months old so the dealer wouldn't do anything for warranty but he
tested all my components and they all worked. Sent it back to ASUS and
they said they reflashed the bios and replaced a couple of mosfets???
Seems to be working well now. Hope it keeps it up.
