Ok, I am about to sell my labtop, and I was uninstalling a bunch of programs
and getting the computer down to the basics, (internet explorer, easy cd
creator, windows media player etc.) but no firewalls, no quicktime,
realplayer, and then all of a sudden my labtop stopped loading. When i turn
it on to load, it just goes to a blank black screen and stays there. I have
tried pressing esc to look at the hardware, and after i look at the hard
drive, it says, danger, hard drive failure is imminent, back up ur files
immediately. I have tried to go into safe mode, and do a system restore, but
its never able to complete it, and I am begging for any help with this!!

so you get a message that your hd is failing, what makes you think that that
you can do anything?
replace your hd, or bin your pc
