Hi

I have a problem with Windows Embedded SP1, when I install multimedia
programs I get a error message with "crtdll.dll"

If I install the XVID codec "ffdshow" I get this error:

"ffdshow: wmplayer.exe - Unable To Locate Component
This application has failed to start because crtdll.dll was not found.
Re-Installing the application may fix this problem"

If I install a TV-Tuner card and the software that follows, I also get an
error with crtdll.dll.

Does anyone have an idea what is wrong? please help.

Thanks

/Peter

It is not clear to me whether the file is actually missing from the system
or that it simply cannot be found?
When it is actually missing you should try adding the C Runtime Library
component to your configuration. This should add the crtdll.dll file.

The file exist on the image, and C Runtime Library is added.

It seems to me that the version of crtdll.dll isn't the same in Embedded and
the Normal XP, or some other reason why all the programs won't accept the
dll file even its there.

Thanks for the answer Hans :-)

I didn't have C Runtime included, as I thought. Couldn't see it because
visibility wasn't set to 100

Guess it works now, thanks
