Big Printing Problem

Hello
I have written a program for windows, that prints the context of a RichEdit
control.
it prints 100 copies of something, then 120 copies of something else, and so
on.
when the program reaches the LAST print to do, it says "communication
problem with LPT1:" and stops.if I say "retry", it prints the last job.

in fact, everything works fine with windows 2000, the problem of the
"communication problem with LPT1:" is only with windows 98, WHY ?
