Make a copy of the file--no matter how long it takes.
Open it. Try this on at LEAST 10% of the pictures to see if it helps:
Cut.
Edit-Paste special-As a picture (JPG is best maybe)
Save the file.
Did it reduce in size? If so, either find a photo editing app that can save
the pictures to compressed (might try
www.irfanview.com) files BEFORE
inserting them.
