I am licensed for WinDVD5 and WinDVR2.

I downloaded WinDVD7 Platinum trial. I liked it and bought the retail version
from Staples ($50) assuming it would be the same. NOT. No deinterlacer, and
no purevideo, at the least. And no update available. Took it back to Staples
but they would not take it back as of course I had to open it to find this
out. InterVideo has taken 14 days to reply to my questions in the past, if at
all. Complaints on the web lead me to believe this will be futile.

Be warned.

Download version is 7.0 DXVA B27.191
Retail version is 7.0 B27.073

Have a nice day.

Resolution:
To InterVideo's extreme good credit the problem was resolved:
After a bunch of calls to InterVideo I hit on a good techie: Steve Kyung
He gave me a serial to activate the downloaded version.
When I said this is only good for 10 days (I reinstal my opsys from scratch
about 3 times a year), he agreed that if I bought the online version, he
would credit my account. Which I did, immediately.
Which he, then, did, immediately.

InterVideo tech support is at 510-651-0888 4,1,1,1

Again, only the online download WinDVD7 Platinum has Nvidia Purevideo and
Deinterlacing. Fabulous picture.

Thanks Steve at InterVideo!

Oops: Check that. The button to activate WinDVD7 was removed. Tech support
say to return the software to the seller which according to them they cannot
take because of Mass copyright laws.

In short, as I first thought, I am screwed.

Boo on Intervideo.

The director of sales got involved and I believe this to be satisfactorily
resolved.
