beta version of IE 6.0 (eolas patent)

Hi - I downloaded the beta version of IE 6.0 from
http://msdn.microsoft.com/ieupdate/default.asp. This site
says that it affects webpages using ActiveX controls and
java applets.

However, on Microsoft's presspass
(http://www.microsoft.com/presspass/press/2003/oct03/10-
06EOLASpr.asp), it says that the new version will affect
the following:

ActiveX® Controls, such as Macromedia Flash, Apple
QuickTime, RealNetworks RealOne, Adobe Acrobat Reader, Sun
Java Virtual Machine and Microsoft Windows Media® Player

I am especially interested in Adobe Acrobat Reader. Pdf's
work fine with the new beta version, contradicting what
Microsoft states on it's presspass page.

Will pdf's be affected with the new IE 6.0 version?
