Well, I hope that if they put it back it will be optional. I have so
many things in my systray that I really don't need any additional icons.

They've stated several times that in some future build, the tray icon will
be optionally available, the default behavior remaining as it is.

Of course it should be optional. My preference, and many others
I read about on this ng, is to have the icon in the systray.
