Well, i'm not looking for the uber new top of the line board -- something
maybe even used for socket 478, P4. other than eBay

Different models have different price points. This includes all retail
establishments, either on-line or walk-in.

Deals vary from day to day. Do your homework to get the best you can. That
means, visit the web sites of the major players, such as www.newegg.com.

Lots of small shops have NOS (New old stock) around. If you don't mind
last year's model, or the year before, you can save money that way.
You'll just have to ask.

The places I listed, and other online stores have a wide range. Go to
pricewatch or pricegrabber.com and do some searching and comparision.

If you know what you are looking for pricewatch.com has a fairly
comprehensive list of vendors and their price, including shipping. They
also include ratings for the vendors or you can use resellerratings.com
to see other ratings for the vendor.
