is a good place too read i think that niod32 is best for virus and some
trogens while ewido ads an extrea boost in protection combined with
sygate firewall also spywareblaster does not hurt ether

The best way to protect your computer if you're using an NT based O/S is
go to the O/S and secure it as much as possible. The buck stops with the
O/S if you can configure it and nowhere else.

That's good, but first consideration should be given to disk organization
(put system and program files on main (c partition and data etc on volumes
in extended partition.
Use an imaging backup program for system (c, good backup strategy for
other. I like www.terabyteunlimited.com products but use any of your choice.
Then take all the other well discussed precautions and stop worrying.
