Hi Phil,
first question: Why do you export your files from one PST to another for a
"backup"?
Why don“t you copy the PST file and save this on a CD?
Why don“t you use the freeware backup tool of Microsoft?

How to change from Outlook 2003 to 2007:
If you use an Outlook 2003 unicode PST file you can work also with Outlook
2007 with the same PST file, it is the same format.
If it is not the same format, you can change this. A lot of information
about "PST" files are on this site:

I prefer the way: Backup your Outlook information:
http://www.slipstick.com/config/backup.asp
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/ou...564641033.aspx
deinstall Outlook 2003, install Outlook 2007, reconnect your old PST file.
