Best way to do this-fill down formulas, cond formats, etc only in certain columns?

For some reason, my Extend Data Ranges and Formats (XL2003) doesn't
work consistently. What I would lke to see is that every time an
input is made in one column, certain columns in that same row will
carry down the necessary values, formulas, conditional formats, etc.
from the row above. It won't always be the same thing, though: one
column may need a formula, another a formula and a conditional format,
and other columns simply the value.

What's the best way to approach this? A Sheet_Change macro, perhaps?

Ed
