Hello,

I would like to know what is the standard or most widely used methods
to keep a small network of about 15 workstations safe from viruses in
an XP environment, using a centralized updating process. I
specifically would like to know:

Which is better, Norton or McAffee?

How do you centrally manage the signature updates. I know that updates
can be downloaded from the server instead of the vendor site but I'm
not sure how to do that. Is there an option in the workstation
anti-virus app that says to get it from the server instead of the
internet?

Do you have to be logged into the server to download the updates or
just connected to it via a shared network folder?

Are there any websites that address this subject that I can visit?

Thank you for your suggestions!

Ed
