I've got an ATI Radeon 9600 Pro with VideoIn/VideoOut and was wondering what
the most straight forward way of watching a live TV or video signal would
be. Surely I don't have to use the PowerDirector software that came with my
card to capture and encode it, if all I want to do is watch a program as it
airs? Any ideas? The documentation that came with my Gigacube card was
disgracefully brief abd poorly translated. Thanks.

ATI's Multimediacenter is pretty good. You can also use the new asus PVCR (I
believe v2.5 works with ATI rage theater based chips). The latter has less
features but is quite capable and uses less memory and/or disk space. I
prefer ATI's offering though.
