I run win 2000 SP3. What is the best program to keep (my windows stable
and) the regisry clean?
registryMedic
winrescue 2000
registry crawler (for searching the registry)
PC Medic
magic tweak
....
Do you know any others? What do you use? What is the best?
When I search the net, there are many programs but they all say they are the
best.
Can someone help me out?

I don't think too much of "registry cleaners" (especially automated
ones) They often can do more harm than good. But in that catagory I
think jv16 Power Tools is very good. Shareware. Potentialy (like
all others) dangerous.

Stability of the NTx OSs often is much more dependent on Drivers,
Hardware and Programs (especially malware) than any registry left-
overs. YMMV

Teach yourself how to fully backup the registry from time to time via
ntbackup or possibly ERUNT.
