Best picture settings for Movie Maker?

I understand it is best to use bitmaps at 72 dpi (versus jpegs), but what's
the best SIZE for a picture (in pixels or inches)? I'd rather size them
beforehand with Photoshop than let MM size them for me.
Thanks,

Thanks for the fast reply!
I can't experiment until I get home tonite, but was wondering: should I set
the picture at 800x600 with a res. of 72dpi to get the best "translation" in
Movie Maker? I'm still trying to wrap my brain around pixels-per-inch,
dots-per-inch, etc. I'll probably understand better once I make samples at
varying settings & compare...

Thanks again,
Rob

Just my opinion.

Truth is...you may be worrying about
something that will probably not be an
issue. But as you say...in many cases...
bmp can be the best format. Personally...
unless I was having serious issues with
file formats and image sizes...I would not
change them.

I think the point is that importing huge 10
megapixel (just an example) images into
Movie Maker is futile because the program
will resize them anyway.

So if you wanted to take the time...you could
resize them to 800x600. That is a 4:3 aspect
ratio...if your images do not fit that parameter...
they may need cropping also. As for dpi...I
would suggest not changing it from what ever
the original may be.
