Where are the best lists for ways Outlook 2007 hangs or crashes or goes
really slow?

And for Outlook 2007 and Office 2007 problems as a whole?

And for the solutions / fixes of course.

I've been shooting down bugs and cleaning bad items since pre beta Office
versions. I've quit looking very actively, but implement or check all I hear
about, including everything on this and the calendaring list. But my Outlook
2007 still went pop & crashed Friday and this morning was hung up in
calendaring for no good reason I could see.

I'll take pointers to individual fixes but I'd really like to find a more
comprehensive source:
----
A microsoft troubleshooter or article that's relatively complete and kept
up to date.
An experts web site.
A wiki somewhere, or a sub-part
[even somewhere in the] MS contributors one if it's gathered enough steam
on this.
Someones tool set, I'll pay!
A good book, if backed by a updated web site.
Anything relatively complete and up to date, even if it's just pointers.
----
I just can't tell my boss that he ought to take 100 users and everything
from smart phones and tablets to workstations to Outlook 2007, Office 2007 &
Exchange Server 2007.

I don't see anything straightforward to give a systems manager, much less a
tech to use to help a user through the transition and cleanup.

Hi Rich,

my prefered websites for Outlook 2007:

Microsoft Outlook 2007 Support website:
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/ou...CL100626971033

Additional websites:

THE website about Outlook:
http://www.slipstick.com

Addins, Scripts, development:
http://www.outlookcode.com/

"How to" website with a lot of tips and tricks:
http://www.howto-outlook.com/howto.htm

and for all questions, use this newsgroup or the Exchange newsgroup:
news:microsoft.public.exchange.setup

Maybe it helps.

Oliver,
Thanks for answering.

It's a very usefull answer but not the answer I'm looking for. I need more
specific pointers to troubleshooters covering outlook 2007 hangs. The
microsoft site I've combed pretty deeply already. Your other references I've
just now searched first and some second level paths that looked promising but
found nothing like what I need.

Very good general Outlook reference list though! Do you publish it somewhere?

Dear Richard,

there are thousands of reasons, why Outlook could hang.

To find out if Outlook is the reason or any other additional program (addin)

I prefer to deactivate all Outlook addin and addons and if this would not
help I would start Outlook in a "safe" mode:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/298838/en-us

Also Exchange could be the reason, so you could create a seperate local
Outlook profile to start Outlook without Exchange, only to see if Exchange
occurs this problem:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/829918/en-us

Also the Windows installation could be the reason. All Outlook addins, virus
protection software, Exchange Server installation or the Windows network
could be the reason.
