Splitz!
http://www.feldfunker.de/software/splitz.htm

Splitz! allows you to split any image into rectangular parts and export the
resulting images along with the HTML table that puts them back together.
This allows webmaster to create for creating mouseover effects and offers
an alternative to imagemaps. It supports many images formats and includes
smart JPEG compression as well as basic color balancing filters.

But Paint Shop Pro isn't freeware, and this group is supposed to be for
the discussion of freeware.

What Annie is referring to is image mapping. This can be done in GeoHTML
2.1:

which I found through Snapfiles:

TheGimp is one of the most feature richful image manipulation softwares
out there (it is growing fast and should out run photoshop in most
aspects within the next few version releases).... besides being a great
software, TheGimp is part of the GNU project and, thus, completely
free. Check it out:

http://www.gimp.org

and yes, it does have an embedded HTML image splitter!!

regards,

ricardo

Ricardo,
Why did you post this off of my message rather than the OP?

Just curious.

As for the Gimp, I have tried it and took it off of my system. I really
didn't like the interface at all. Hope they've made it more user friendly.

I think that only Unix/Linux version has the splitter integrated
because Windows version doesn't have. At least, I have found it (I have
to declare myself a newbie of the GIMP). If Windows has it, I would be
very gratefull to receive instructions in how to use/activate it!
Thanks.
