Sure. Download Firefox. Install and import your favorites. Use the built in
organizer. Trust me.

I'm using Windows ME and, until I convert, IE. I'll share a routine that
I use in Windows 9x.

I make a shortcut to the Favorites directory.
I move this shortcut to the desktop and leave it there.
When I click on it, the Favorites directory is displayed.
If I select a Favorites subdirectory from the displayed directory, I'm
able to load a second instance of the Favorites "root" to the screen.
Either of these directories may then be navigated. If desired, more
instances may be loaded to the screen, so long as none of those on the
screen are displaying the "root."

You can move entries from one to another at will. This routine handles a
hell of a lot better than trying to work within Microsoft's teentsy
window.

There's some provisos:
- You can't arrange what you've copied. They'll show within IE in some
sort of complete or partial alphabetical order.
- You can, indeed, rearrange your entries within their directories so
long as you do this within the "official" system after you've moved them
around using my method.
- If the Favorites "root" is too large, after a certain length, all your
subesquent entries will be automatically sorted in alpha order.
- You can overcome this last problem by moving most of your Farvorites
into their own categorical subdirectories, and then doing a light edit
within the offficial system. You can drag entries around within the
ordinary favorites list.

Note that Windows stores every favorite as its own unique file. As MS
has done so many times, this is extremely wasteful of resources. It's
also extremely sluggish when moving things, backing stuff up, etc. To my
amazement, when I exported messages and the address book from OE to
Thunderbird, the entire operation was surprisingly quick. When I abandon
IE forever (except for MS updates), I expect that the migration to
Firefox will go quickly too.

I envision Firefox like our famous Statue, welcoming my Favorites: "Give
me your tired, your poor..."

Let me know how this works for you, OK?

Richard

Would you mind taking some time a do correct quoting? Disturbing!

What's your problem? Why not freeware?

Okay, for personal use only, but this is a often seen limitation.

Show an alternative, I'm openminded.
