Which (preferrably open source or free) HTPC software works with this
card and allows timeshifting in TV viewing? I've tried Media Portal,
but it doesn't support this card, yet (supposedly a plugin is being
developed). I also tried Mimic, but it didn't work either. Any help
is appreciated.

personally, i've found nothing beats (or even comes close to) MMC which
ships with the card/is downloadable from ATI.

you can also give Beyond TV (
http://www.snapstream.com/Products/beyondtv/default.asp ) a try.
