For me it's K-meleon or KmeleonCCF-Express for Winblows

There's no such thing as a "best" browser. I personally prefer Firefox:

.... and uses IE as rendering engine. That's why I use Firefox.

IE,or one of it's overlays, as in Maxthon etc. or Opera, or Firefox,
or???It all comes down to what YOU like. Personally, I use Maxthon and
K-Meleon. Been using DeepNet Explorer for a while and it's fun to use, but
needs some work. Firefox is supposed to be good but I just don't like it so
stick to K-Meleon instead. Try FF every few months but,as I said I don't
like it so dump it after a few days. In fact less than a day last try. Try
them and pick your favourite.

Yes, Opera by a country mile. Mature, loads of functionality, not IE
(security).

Not sure if it's strictly freeware - it's adware, but the Google ads at
the top are pretty discreet and very liveable with.

I've used Maxthon a lot previously, and dipped a toe into the water of
Firefox, but Opera has all the functionality and more of these and is
more mature/stable etc.

Also, I would guess that as it has such a small share of the browser
market it will be less targeted and for this reason, as well as anything
engineered into it, will be safer.

Pete
