Best format to import to excel

Any ideas which is the best format to import this to excel ? The file will be
more than 5 mb or so and with 7 columns of data. This is a log file.

MS Word *.doc
Rich Text Format *.rtf
Visio *.vsd
Comma Separted Values *.csv
Text *.txt
Process Cube (SQL Analysis Services)

if you use CSV, you will be able to easily convert the text to data columns
