Just wondering what peoples thoughts were on the best drivers for 3dmark
2001 scores. I know the score doesn't mean everything...Thanks.

Looks like a well specified system for running a benchmark or two. As a
non-tweakers I stand in awe of your sense of your adventures on the outer
limits of the art of time wasting..

But where is the fun in leaving it stock? I went from <17k to 19k in 2001
so far...

Well, you could argue that everything happens faster on an overclocked
system, so you actually waste less time.

On the other hand, the games (and newsgroup posts) most computer junkies
spend hours with are not exactly advancing the legacy of the human race.

Hopping up a PC is the same sort of hobby as hopping up a car. It's less
expensive and more satisfying than golf or heroin addiction.

We can't all find a cure for cancer, but squeezing an extra 100 mhz out of a
balky cpu, scoring a personal best in 3DMark 2003 or going up a level in
Morrowind is cause for at least a little smugness.

You are so right but can anyone tell me the right drivers to use? I'm using
omega 3.8 right now...

Hmmmm seems weird to me that you would running drivers that were the best for running a benchmark, that's all you plan to do?

YES, all I plan to do right now is try and get the highest score possible!
Overclock, tweak, bench, overclock, tweak, bench...Baically i'm in
competition with a friend who has an intel and the same card.
