Windows XP is written in specific language versions, therefore one
cannot change it from one language version to another. You'll need
to purchase a "Full Version" of Windows XP in the language version
you desire, create a new partition and install the new O/S, thereby
creating a dual-boot configuration.

A good third-party partitioning program is Partition Magic 8.

|I am about to purchase a notebook through Dell and want to
| make sure that I am getting the right configuration for
| the computer to be used in both English and Russian. My
| wife speaks Russian and we are moving there to work - we
| want to be sure that she can use the computer in both
| languages. Does anyone happen to know which operating
| system is best? Any tips on making sure we have all our
