I can never remember birthdays.. So I thought my pc can help.. I've tested
Windows Live Mail option, which I see can send an email to remind me.. and I
see windows calendar has a reminder feature.. is on of these the best option
or is there an even better way..

Either will work it's really your choice, If you use Calendar you
will have to manually add the Birthdays as an all day appointment it
looks like. I'm surprsed it doesn't automatically insert the
information from Contacts, But I guess that's why we have Outlook.

There is a Gadget that uses the Windows Contact information and will
remind you of Wedding Anniversaries or Birthdays with a count down up
to 30 days out which is adjustable. If you like Gadgets it's pretty
cool I downloaded it and tried it just for fun. The down side is it
has to be running all the time.

The pic shown is not how it looks on the sidebar.

You can also download tons of freeware and shareware reminder programs,
it's just a matter of searching around.

You can also use an online E-card site like Hallmark to send you
reminders via email..but once again you have to create a contact list
on their site.
