Sorry to ask this possibly over asked question.

I currently use Symantec's Norton Antivirus 2003.

I'm looking for one which is relatively small and fast but efficient at
protecting against viruses with prompt updates against the latest viruses.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions....

I like e-Trust EZ from Computer Associates www.my-etrust.com . Small, daily
updates, now $25 and $13 annual renewals. You might like to look here
http://claymania.com/anti-virus.html for a listing of alternatives.

AVG Antivirus (www.grisoft.com) - free for personal use.
Very norton-like, regular free updates, automatic scheduling and updating, I
don't use anything else anymore.

One reason to avoid it then.

By regular you mean anything up to one week I take it?
Compare http://www.grisoft.com/us/us_history.php

You must use a different calendar to me then )

AVG, twenty updates in two months.
update 489 10th June
update 509 12th August.

There are instances of some updates being 6 days apart.

Very poor considering the rapidity of viruses being born/mutated.

Nod32's "Imon" scans email at the winsock level, it is email client
independent.
