Well the title explains it i deleted my norton im sick of renewing it.... So is there anyhitng that is free out there and as good or better then norton PLease let me know Thanks..

I use Antivir.

Grisoft AVG do a free version for personal use.

I've used it for a couple of years now and not had any problems.

I've read and heard that NOD32 is the best out there. never tried it myself as i'm not going to pay for an antivirus .

I use AVG as well, and mainly as its free, and alongside my other security software, seems to be doing a good enough job

of course, the old saying is still true, "the only safe computer is one thats not plugged in"

Good find there Floppy, I'm really surprised at how well the online scans have done. I use those quite often just to double check with AntiVir, but not been let down yet!

When i had McAfee security suite 2004 it let 2 virus in and caused problems,Norton 2005 sorted them out and have used it since.

Well you know me Anti Vir ... Luke filewalker all the way. ... and I also use housecall which is a free online scan.

The best antivirus is Avast! Its free and it kills everything.
