I believe my email is going to Outlook Express instead of Outlook

Earlier this week I attempted to send attachments and this is the firsttime I
accepted Outlooks offer of "downsizing" the photos. The recipient couldn't
open the WinDat email and I started getting all kinds of trouble on my
computer, telling me it couldn't send an email so did I want to use Outlook
Express. I sent the mail and ever since I cannot receive email into Outlook.
I can't find Outlook Express on my computer but feel certain after reading
discussion boards that if I could, that is where the email is going. My
default program is set to Outlook (2003)

Outlook Express is not going to receive mail unless a) you configured it
with your accounts and b) have it open.
Open Outlook and test the Mail accounts, report back any error

When I was trying to send the photos, a message popped up and said that it
couldn't access my Word for the message and did I want to use Outlook
Express...out of desparation to get a message to a customer I said "yes" and
sent the message (which she evidently couldn't pull up anyway). Ever since I
cannot get the incoming mail to my Outlook but I can't find Outlook Express
to open it to see if the messages are redirected there...AND my default
location for messages is set to Outlook. Suggestions?

As DL said - NO emails will be going to Outlook Express if you don't open
it.

Interestingly I did not "purposely" open it. It was a message that popped
up...however after doing some reinstallation and repair of outlook my problem
is fixed. I still can't find outlook express on my computer but....at least
my inbox is working in Outlook.

Open Outlook, select Help Detect/Repair
In Internet Options ensure Outlook is set as default mail handler
