Behringer UMX61 Midi keyboard controller

I have recently purchased a MIDI keyboard controller which purports to be
'Plug and Play' and be compatible with Windows XP but so far I have not been
able to hear a sound from it. The device manager acknowledges its presence
and thats all. The manufacturer has supplied a CD with another driver
(AKI02KS) which Microsoft will not let me download. My current soundcard is
Realtek AC97. Can anyone help, please?
