I want a pop up window to appear when a visitor to my Web site clicks to exit
the site. I've read in many previous posts where JIMCO Spawn has been
suggested. Can I accomplish the same thing using the behavior function in FP?

I have Spawn but I cannot find instructions on how to use the software.
Does anyone know where I can find detailed instructions on how to use the
software?

I don't think this is a good idea. Besides it will be blocked by all modern
browsers....

Pop-ups that are created automatically (on loading a page, exiting a
page, etc) will not work in many (most?) browsers, so you may wish to
re-think this. And I would not click anything to exit a site, I
would close the browser or type in a new address to go to.

Hi Ron. Here is what I'm trying to do. I want to build up an opt-in email
list. I have seen this done many times and it seems to be very effective.
As you mention, when I go to close the browser or enter another destination,
a pop up would appear so that the visitor would be provided one last
opportunity to submit their contact info. For some reason my pop up blockers
never blocked those pop ups.

That would drive me to place the site in the Restricted Sites Zone in
IE, with a mental note never to visit again.
If anyone wants to join a mailing list they will do so because they
want to, based on what they have seen, before they leave the site, but
not because you press it on them. If they leave the site before
joining, you have to ask "why"?
And what about annoying return visitors who have already joined?

Windows XP SP2 will block all pop-ups in Internet Explorer that are
not the direct result of clicking a link. FireFox, Netscape 8, and
Opera 8 all have the same default settings. Of course, users can
change these settings.
