What is your default message store? (this is different from the default
account) Go to File, Data file management to check.
FWIW, the best way to ensure you are not in violation of company policy is
to not check email at work - or at least not use the same profile you use
for work mail. Either use the gmail website, OE/Mail, or a second profile
for your personal accounts.
