Huh !! ..... has MS ever suported embedded systems with VB ?

I do not think so thus what is your point ?

Embedded systems were programmed in C like syntax so it is not more as
logical to release a C# version to replace this

regards

Michel

MS is not dropping VB. You're inappropriately extrapolating an article
about coding for embedded devices to the entire universe.

C# does not exist; **** C#

VB is the language of choice

this is the last straw; time for rioting in the streets.

BRING BACK VB OR EAT FIRE AND DEATH, MS

C# DOES NOT EXIST

WHAT USED TO BE C SHOULD GO INTO THE WORLDS MOST POPULAR LANGUAGE

VB6

Well, they were developed using C because of its runtime characteristics,
but with C# and VB both running on the same CLR I don't see any reason for
not supporting VB.

Herfried ,

Only thing i can think of is target audience ,,,,, same is seen by the
robotic examples lots of C# examples and only a few VB examples

Technicly speaking they should both be capable to do the same ( C# , VB )
however my thought is that these MS teams are targeting there products to
the broadest public , so maybe a VB version will be there in a few months /
years or even never .

Herfried,

I thought to have seen that you have taken an action somewhere else. However
in this case I would like it more as there was more effort taken in DirectX
for VB.Net.

However I agree with your action of course.

Although this is not the professional market, I remember VB6 being very
popular for Lego Mindstorm robot programming.

I hope that there will be VB versions made available too. In most cases
this should not take such a huge effort.
