If you are considering buying Terabyte's imaging software, I
suggest you download their newsgroup at terabyteunlimited.com
port 1198 If you download the entire archive and spend a few
minutes reading you will see how many many users of their
Terriblebiteu software are utterly confused and have no idea
how it works. You will also see how many times it screws up
and renders their machine and data inaccessible. You will
also see how they always have some baffling excuse and will
tend to try to make you think that you simply don't
understand how the software operates, when, in fact, it's
more a case of BAD software and bad support. Once you have
this Terrorbiteu software on your machine you will be UNABLE
to get rid of it as it sneakily installs hidden bytes on your
hard drive that are unremoveable except by a total wipe of
the drive. If you are an expert at drive geometry and boot
routines, and you program in this area, forget this post-you
may be able to correct any problem terriblebyte software
throws your way (but I kinda doubt even that).

Notice this company changes the name of it's software, comes
out with a new name and essentially the same software and then
deletes support for the old package both at it's website and
in it's newsgroup?

I would use Robocopy or XXCopy. Anything that writes a
mirror image of the drive(s) to be backup to the backup
device. That way you do not end up with a huge file that
you cannot read by some archaic software package.

It is excellent software for a low price and they respond in the
newsgroup quickly. Couldn't do without it. It does require an
intelligent user, however.
