Before installing SP2...

Before I install SP2, should I uncheck everything in the Startup tab of the
System Configuration Utility and reboot? Also, should I turn off Norton
AntiVirus and Microsoft AntiSpyware. I suspect unchecking everything in the
System Configuration Utility will do that anyway.

You don't need to uncheck anything though I suggest that you close open
programs such as your antivirus and spyware programs and others that show in
the lower right hand corner list of icons that you usually can right click
the icon and select close/exit. The link below shows more on what you need
to do with the main precaution making sure your computer is free from
malware and spyware. --- Steve
