Just to add to this - I'm going to guess that your computer may be
overheating. Open it up and observe all fans - has anything stopped
running? Clean out the computer with compressed air - carefully, while
it is unplugged! If you are uncomfortable opening the computer, take it
to a good local computer repair shop (not a Best Buy or CompUSA) for
fixing.
