I have an HP Pavilion 7905 model. Its about 5 or so years old, running XP
Pro. I turned on the computer today and got 4 single beeps. The monitor
says its in Power Save Mode. Activate Using PC. I powered up again and got a
different series of beeps. Wasn't expecting that so I don't remember the
beeps. Tried power again and got no beeps, including the POST single beep.
Monitor still says the same thing. I tried diferrent monitors, and different
video cards with the same results. Is my motherboard done? Any help will be
greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I finally duplicated the other beep pattern. 1-3-4-3 Test 512K base
memory. What does that mean? Please tell me i can fix it.

512K base memory sounds like the CPU is toasted.

(Not knowing what BIOS,,,) Phoenix describes that beep code (1-3-4-3)
as

"RAM failure on data bits xxxx* of low byte of memory bus"

It's possible that a RAM module has gone, or that one is not making
good contact with its socket. I'd start off by reseating RAM modules
(check contacts and clean if necessary) . If that doesn't work, and
If more than one, try them one at a time. Other than that, and the fact
that you already swapped video cards, you might try swapping the
PSU with a known good one before you attack the mobo.
