I had to move my SQL file from my laptop drive to my desktop drive due toa
unit failure. However, BCM will not recognize the database even though it is
located in the same folder as the default database and has the same
extension. I have tried all of the available restore and database rebuild
options that I can find but noe of them will allw me access to the file. I
am wondering if it has something to do with permissions. At any rate I am
hamstrung if I can't get this file to open. Anyone out there who might be
able to help with this?

Jim:

Go to Microsoft and download the SQL Management Studio for SQL EXPRESS 2005.
That will allow you to "attach" the database to the SQL instance on your PC.
There are instructions in other threads in this newsgroup if you search for
"attach".

HTH,
Lon
